Benefits
Excellent Water holding capacity
Helps maintain consistent soil moisture levels, ensuring plants have access to water even during summer dry season. It also reduces the risk of overwatering and root rot
Enhanced Aeration
Coco coir has a fibrous structure that provides excellent air circulation within the growing medium. Mixed with perlite, this promotes oxygen availability to plant roots, supporting healthy root development and preventing root suffocation. Adequate aeration is essential for nutrient uptake and overall plant growth
pH Stability and Neutralizing Properties
Coco coir with Perlite has a natural pH range of 6.8 to 7.2, which is slightly acidic to neutral. This pH range is suitable for a wide variety of plants and can help buffer and stabilize the pH of acidic or alkaline soils. It acts as a natural pH adjuster, reducing the need for additional amendments
Nutrient Retention and Release
Coco coir with Perlite has the ability to retain and release nutrients effectively. It has a high cation exchange capacity (CEC), which means it can hold and exchange essential plant nutrients. This property allows for better nutrient absorption by plant roots and reduces the risk of nutrient leaching
Disease and Pest Resistance
Coco coir with perlite has natural resistance to fungi, bacteria, and pests, making it less prone to mould, rot, and soil-borne diseases compared to traditional potting mixes. This can contribute to healthier plants, reducing the need for chemical pesticides or fungicides
Sustainable and Renewable
Coco coir is a sustainable and renewable resource. It is an environmentally friendly alternative to peat moss. Choosing coco coir helps conserve natural resources and supports sustainable gardening practices
Longevity and Reusability
Coco coir with Perlite has a long lifespan and can be reused in multiple growing cycles. After its initial use, it can be incorporated into compost or garden beds to improve soil structure and moisture retention. This reduces waste and promotes a circular and sustainable gardening approach
Eco-friendly and Chemical-free
Coco coir with Perlite is natural and free from harmful chemicals or contaminants. It provides a clean and safe growing medium for plants, ensuring a healthier environment for both plants and gardeners

GARDEN SAFETY
When doing gardening always wear a P2 / FFP2 / N95 / kn94 / kn95 Safety Mask 4ply to keep your respiratory health from harmful micro organisms, dust, pollution or vapors. General potting mix contains plenty of micro organisms. Always wear your safety gears such as mask, glove and googles when working with them.
A common media when mixing with your potting mix are Vermiculite, Perlite, Coco coir and Mineral products. They may contain micro dust particles, which you want to avoid harming your lungs. Especially Perlite dust particles, they are glass like and breathing them in will cause irreversible damage to your lungs. So always stay safe and wear your P2 / N95 / FFP2 grade protective mask to avoid any unnecessary health risk.
Liquid form fertlisers, plant care products or cleaning products such as IPA might give off harmful vapors when sprayed. Read carefully the product safety instructions before application.
Clean and makes a handy workable mix with no fertilizer added to it.
Works great for my ferns, orchids and other delicate plants, you don’t want or need added fertilizers with unknown quantities or types added.
I love using this to start off growing my seedlings. Holds moisture pretty well and I’ve never had a problem getting seeds to germinate
I find this excellent for my plants. Value for money, highly recommended
